Rotary

Help us, join us, support us

We meet as a group of like-minded people every other week via Zoom in the evening and alternate weeks for breakfast with one aim –

to help others less fortunate than us and support good causes in the best way can.

We aim to raise sufficient money from our fundraising activities to be able to support a range of charities

and individuals primarily in the Shepperton and Sunbury areas.

In addition we offer the chance for individuals to develop new friendships through

our regular social functions, dinners, meetings and other events.

We are always keen to welcome new members to join in the fun

and the fundraising.

SO WHAT IS ROTARY?

Rotary began with a small group of like-minded individuals coming together in order to advance goodwill and peace around the world and to help provide humanitarian services by encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations.

They first met in 1905 and they 'rotated' round each others houses for meetings – hence the name.

There are now over 1.2 million members in over 200 countries.

Rotary's prime objective is to encourage and foster the

'ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise'.

The Rotary Four Way Test

Throughout all our undertakings, Rotarians follow these simple principles to make the world a better place for all

  • Is it the truth?

  • Is it fair to all concerned?

  • Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
